Are you ready to help us design and build our LaserWeeder that solve real problems in our food supply?A Mechanical Engineer at Carbon Robotics will work with the team that designs and lays out iterations with your mechanical and software peers. You’ll do whatever it takes - which might include going to the farm - to ensure our customers have reliable and safe products.
What you’ll do:
- Design robust, manufacturable parts and assemblies using CAD or Solidworks
- Quickly prototype, troubleshoot, and iterate designs with ownership and collaboration
- Drive decision through project planning, task delegation and leading problem solving efforts to reiterate quickly
- Manage vendors and source parts for designs
- Support products in the field

- Experience working as Mechanical Design Engineer for 4+ years
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and a desire to work in multidisciplinary teams
- 2000+ hrs of experience with CAD software. SolidWorks preferred.
- Experience with PDM systems or other data management/revision control systems. Solidworks PDM preferred.
- Sheet metal and weldment design experience
- Experience in agriculture, automotive, and/or mobile heavy equipment(construction/mining) design preferred
- Vendor management experience with ability to find and source purchased and fabricated parts
- Experience with production manufacturing
- Familiarity with HVAC systems preferred
- BS+ in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Pre-IPO stock options (tax-advantaged ISOs)
