The Material Handler plays a critical role in ensuring that our manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position is responsible for picking, staging, and delivering inventory and materials to support production schedules. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent cross-functional coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and stage materials based on work orders and production requirements.
- Coordinate closely with production floor leads to ensure timely and accurate material delivery.
- Perform cycle counts and support inventory accuracy initiatives.
- Track material movements and maintain clear records in ERP or inventory systems.
- Assist in receiving, storing, and organizing materials within the warehouse or stockroom.
- Flag material shortages, discrepancies, or damaged goods promptly.
- Support inventory management by helping maintain clean, labeled, and organized inventory zones.
- Help prepare kits and sub-assemblies for manufacturing builds.
- Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams as needed to track incoming materials.
- Follow all safety protocols and support lean practices on the floor.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or material handling role.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills and experience using inventory management software or ERP systems (NetSuite a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Forklift certification or willingness to become certified
