PortX is a technology company focused on integration software for financial services that unlock access to banking core data, eliminate vendor dependencies, and enable embedded banking-as-a-service solutions. We help financial institutions empower their teams to connect to fintech partners and real-time payment networks like Fedwire, ACH, FedNow, SWIFT, Visa and others. Our solutions enable interoperability between internal systems and member services such as online banking, credit checks, mortgage and loan applications, and others, allowing for a timely and accurate view of customer data.

The PortX platform is the Integration-Platform-as-a-Service (iPaaS) that unlocks access to banking core data, enables a 360-degree view of the customer experience, eliminates vendor dependencies, and creates simplified connectivity to the new wave of fintechs and real-time payment networks.

We're looking to add an experienced Staff Accountant to our team. This is a vital position that provides support to several departments and ensures efficient day to day operations. This is a great opportunity for someone to get exposure to different aspects of the business and really make an impact within the organization.

About the Job:

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Own the accounts payable process from end to end
  • Manage Accounts receivable from invoicing to collections
  • Process Payroll and Contractor Invoices
  • Perform monthly bank settlements
  • Inspect account books for efficiency and accuracy
  • Organize and update financial records
  • Review financial statements for accuracy and legal compliance
  • Create, update, and implement best accounting practices in compliance with US GAAP.
  • Prepare documentation for external auditors
  • Write and maintain user guides and policy overviews

Required Skills:

  • 3+ years experience in accounting or finance related role.
  • Must have strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Must have a strong accounting background, mathematical, analytical, communication skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Process-driven critical thinker

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge or experience with ASC 606 compliance
  • Experience with Quickbooks Online
  • Experience with Harvest, bill.com, Google Workspace, Slack
