Day to day responsibilities:

• Hands-on development for PortX customer integration projects.
• Build and enhance APIs, backend services, and integration components across modern banking and payments environments.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality solutions for PortX customer integration projects.
• Use modern AI tools responsibly to accelerate engineering productivity, code quality, testing, and documentation.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve customer-reported technical issues in a timely manner, including root cause analysis and permanent fixes where appropriate.
• Participate in architectural and technical design discussions, helping define robust, secure, and maintainable solutions.
• Contribute to deployment, configuration, and operational support processes across cloud-based environments, primarily AWS.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards, tooling, and development practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system performance, reliability, observability, and scalability.
• Create and maintain technical documentation relating to implementations, integrations, troubleshooting, and support handover.

You'll need these skills:

• Advanced Python development knowledge and experience
• Strong knowledge and experience with enterprise integration, API development
• Demonstrated AI engineering experience, with quantified impact in your work
• Hands on experience with deploying to AWS platform
• Hands on experience with GIT
