What You’ll Be Doing

As a Technical Program Manager, you will lead cross-functional execution for U.S. DoD, IC, and Civil programs, from proposal to deployment. You’ll work closely with product, engineering, business development, and government stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of complex space software solutions. You will bridge the worlds of Agile software development and formal program structures (e.g., PPBE, CDRLs, IMP/IMS, EVMS).

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic, dual-use environments and can blend tactical program discipline with the speed and ambiguity of a startup.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Execution: Own delivery of U.S. government funded initiatives (e.g., SBIRs, STRATFI, OTA, IDIQ/IDIQ TOs), including scope, schedule, risk, and stakeholder management
  • U.S. Government Program Management: Track and report against CDRLs, CLINs, SLINs, SOWs, IMP/IMS, and other contractual artifacts; support compliance with DFARS/NIST 800-171
  • Cross-functional Leadership: Drive program alignment across engineering, product, and business stakeholders; run internal stand-ups, milestone reviews, and retrospectives
  • Customer Engagement: Serve as the day-to-day liaison with government customers and prime contractors; attend technical interchange meetings (TIMs) and manage data call responses
  • Documentation: Generate and manage deliverables including program plans, technical reports, security artifacts, and customer-facing briefings
  • Support Business Growth: Partner with BD on white papers, proposals, and program shaping; facilitate technical volumes with engineering and execution plans with program managers.

Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • Experience with space systems or ground software
  • 5+ years managing complex U.S. DoD, IC, and/or Civil software or aerospace programs (PM, IPT lead, or equivalent)
  • Deep familiarity with DoD acquisition, including SBIR/STTR, OTAs, FAR/DFARS, and color teams
  • Experience with dual-use tech companies or government startups preferred
  • Fluency in Agile and Waterfall program structures; ability to operate in hybrid environments
  • Highly Inquisitive and Detail Oriented; ability to quickly identify potential gaps in mission solutions or requirements and attention to detail in driving these to closure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to senior DoD stakeholders

ITAR REQUIREMENTS:

  • To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
