🚀 About the role

As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you'll build the high-performance, deeply interactive interfaces that power Roboto. Our platform helps robotics teams work with massive, complex datasets — and your work will make that data feel intuitive, responsive, and even delightful to analyze and explore.

You'll architect and develop core product features in React/TypeScript/WebGL/Rust, optimize performance for high-frequency, multimodal data, and collaborate with backend teams to create polished workflows for our users. From data visualization to AI-assisted tooling, you’ll push the limits of what's possible in the browser.

This is a high-impact role with significant ownership, where your work will directly shape the daily experience of robotics engineers around the world.

🔍 We're looking for someone who:

• Has deep frontend expertise: 5+ years of experience building complex, data-driven web applications using modern frameworks (React, Next.js, or similar).

• Cares about performance: Skilled at optimizing rendering pipelines, streaming complex data, and making UIs feel smooth under heavy load.

• Builds great UX for technical users: Strong product sense and a focus on workflows that make engineers faster and more capable.

• Thrives in small teams: Comfortable taking end-to-end ownership, from architecture to polish, and working closely across engineering, product, and design.

• Communicates clearly: Able to break down complex ideas and collaborate effectively with teammates and customers.

✨ Bonus points:

• AI-first UX: Experience designing or building interfaces that leverage AI - from copilots and natural language interactions to intelligent data visualizations.

• Systems knowledge: Exposure to robotics, AVs, simulation, or other multimodal data environments.

• Full-stack fluency: Familiarity with backend APIs, data pipelines, and build tooling.

• Open source or developer tools: Contributions to frameworks, libraries, or tooling used by other engineers.

• Desktop apps: Experience building Electron-based or cross-platform applications.

The listed salary range is wide to cover candidates with broad experience (5–15+ years). Your actual base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis, taking into account relevant skills, education, and experience. Eligible employees will also receive equity grants in the form of stock options, giving you the opportunity to share in the company's long-term success.
