Data Engineer

Location: OMR, Chennai

Experience: 2 year- 4 years

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Build an end to end data engineering pipeline (data ingestion, transformation, and data modeling),

both batch and real-time stream processing back-ends

2. Incorporate best practices in the data pipelines for high performance, fault tolerance, monitoring, and

alerting data quality checks

3. Experience in SQL, dimensional modeling, supporting data warehouse, scaling and optimizing,

performance tuning and ETL pipelines

4. Proficiency with Programming languages (eg.Python)

5. Ability to work on multiple areas like Data pipeline ETL, Data modeling & design, writing complex SQL

queries etc.

6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize business and information needs

7. Develop efficient data transformation and ETL processes to cleanse, enrich, and aggregate data for

downstream analytics and reporting needs.

8. Optimise and tune data pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency

9. Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues, ensuring timely resolution to minimise downtime and

data loss.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical

experience).

2. 2 to 4 years experience as a Data Engineer with hands-on experience in SQL.

3. Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases

4. Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and dimensional modelling

5. Experience with real-time data processing frameworks such as Apache Kafka or AWS Kinesis is a plus

6. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional

teams.

7. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
