The Role
As Technical Pre-Sales Manager, you’ll own Zuper’s demo platform strategy and execution—the environments, data, use cases, and readiness processes that enable Sales and Partners to consistently show Zuper at its best. You’ll also own our trial account system end-to-end, partnering with Product Marketing and Product Management to deliver an experience that converts curiosity into value and value into pipeline.
This role is ideal for someone who loves the intersection of technical systems + go-to-market impact: you’ll build “mini SaaS” demo/trial experiences that are stable, repeatable, and tailored to real customer scenarios.
What You’ll Do
Own and evolve Zuper’s demo account strategy & architecture (primary focus)
    • Define the technical strategy and architecture for Zuper’s demo accounts and environments, ensuring they scale across segments and ICPs.
    • Maintain multiple demo environments aligned to different industries, buyer personas, and workflows—each with crisp narratives, clean configuration, and predictable performance.
    • Create and maintain realistic demo data and use cases that mirror real customer conditions (not “happy path” toy examples).
    • Establish a demo readiness lifecycle (environments, scenarios, meeting preparedness, and standards) so Sales and Partners can confidently self-serve.
    • Prepare strategic, opportunity-specific demo builds for top accounts: bespoke workflows, pre-configured storylines, and “it just works” reliability in live meetings.
    • Ensure new products/features land in demo environments early, with a clear change log, enablement notes, and updated scenario coverage.
Own Zuper’s trial account system & experience (secondary focus)
    • Own the end-to-end trial infrastructure: provisioning, access controls, time-limited policies, environment resets, reporting and reliability.
    • Partner with Product Marketing and Product Management to deliver in-app messaging and guided flows that help prospects reach “first value” quickly (and see what’s new at the right moment).
    • Instrument and continuously improve the trial journey: activation, feature adoption, drop-off points, and conversion signals.

You’ll directly influence the biggest moments in the funnel: the demo and the trial. A well-run demo platform improves sales outcomes by:
    • Increasing consistency across reps/partners (same “wow” experience every time)
    • Reducing risk (fewer demo-day surprises, faster recovery when something breaks)
    • Speeding up cycles (reps spend time selling, not rebuilding environments)
    • Raising conversion (trials that guide users to value, not confusion)
How You’ll Measure Success (example KPIs)
    • Demo environment uptime and reliability (especially during peak selling hours)
    • Time-to-ready for new features in demo (feature freshness SLA)
    • Time-to-spin-up a segment-specific demo or strategic custom build
    • Sales/Partner satisfaction with demo readiness (internal NPS)
    • Trial activation rate, time-to-first-value, and trial-to-opportunity / trial-to-close conversion

Relevant experience (typical)
    • 4+ years in a technical customer-facing or GTM role (Solutions Engineering, Solutions Consulting, Sales Engineering, Implementation, Technical PM, Demo Engineering, etc.)
    • Hands-on experience building/maintaining demo or pre-sales environments, scenarios, and enablement assets.
Nice to have
    • Experience with automation and repeatability (IaC/CI-CD concepts, environment templating, data seeding, reset workflows)
    • Familiarity with product-led growth motions (trials, in-app guidance, onboarding analytics)
