Role Overview

We are seeking a Full-Time Senior Engineer to join our team as we expand into the hotel market. In this role, you will architect, develop, and maintain features to meet business needs, collaborating closely with our product and marketing teams.

Role Responsibilities

• Translate complex business requirements into code.
• Manage the complete development process from conception to deployment, gathering specifications and requirements as needed.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade software.
• Work with stakeholders to create secure, reliable, scalable software solutions.
• Document system builds and configurations; maintain and update documentation as needed.
• Follow team software development methodologies, including change management, code review, change control, and others.
• Participate in release and sprint planning, artifact creation, sprint testing, demonstrations, retrospectives, and solution releases.

Role Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing and writing software applications
• Strong knowledge and experience with C# and Java is preferred
• Knowledge of Typescript is an asset
• Experience with relational and document databases, such as PostgreSQL and Marten
• Experience with event-based architecture
• Experience with queueing technology, such as RabbitMQ
• Proven experience in designing and developing REST API’s
• Experience architecting and designing software systems end-to-end with business logic in mind
• Ability to diagnose issues and recommend best practices in architecture, documentation, design and processes.
• Passion for sharing knowledge and mentoring others
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI to accelerate coding beyond standard use of LLMs is a plus
